91-92 NON-AC cars have vacuum controlled ducts?

Looking to swap a non-AC dash control box into my 91 Original AC car. By 91 were both AC and non-AC cars all vacuum controlled ducts?

Re: 91-92 NON-AC cars have vacuum controlled ducts?

There are not very many non ac cars in those years. I also have not seen to many complete ac delete covnvertions. I haven't researched it but, most of what I have seen is just the box under the hood swapped out for a cleaner look. Everything behind the dash is different. I am running the complete setup but it is the older version. There are fresh air vents with controls under the steering wheel. I believe that those are vacuum activated on the newer versions 90 - 92 or 91 & 92 whatever it is. The older version has less ducting and holes were not cut into the dash for the ducts. The newer version has the holes and ducting so I suspect it has a totally revised system. Good luck finding one too, I wouldn't mind finding that setup as well. Older versions are hard to come by and I have only seen a few newer versions and those were in mint condition vehicles. This is probably why finding info is tough.

Does that mean I can buy a 90-92 non-AC interior control box and swap it right in place of my AC control box without having to make any ducting/dash changes?

I was wondering the same thing. I suspect diaphrams mount and pull on the doors, can they be removed and the cables attached?
