hey guys
i was messing around with a couple of friends and i guess i got a little too excited with my car and the roads were a little more wet than i thought.
was on a turn drifted the car. back end swung out farther than i thought it would hit a curb smashed the rim, drifted out to the other side of the road . went over that curb and hit a wall.

guess a welded diff + wet roads+ crazy teenagers + popped rear brake linees = disaster








Crash damage :
hood
cracked windshield
3 flat tires
1 broken rim
front bumper
driver side fender
rear axle shifted an eight of inch towards passenger side
smashed headlights

 

So what is your game plan for fixing the camaro?

 

going to the junkyard tmr to see what i can find. i have an extra hood but the paint is faded away and its not the iroc hood. i have a front bumper but in bad condition. my friend has an extra fender that i am going to buy off him. rims are my biggest concern. i really like the stock rims but wouldnt mind looking into some new rims. any suggestions for rims that would look good on an iroc

 

Its worst than it looks, i'd say that the core support and front substucture is bent as well. If you do get it fixed you'll never be able to get it properly aligned, proly gone always pull to oneside. But, maybe i'm wrong and it's not as bad as it looks. Well keep us updated, and hope for the best.

 

yeah i thought about that too... going to start working on it tmr morning. i doubt that the front substucture is bent. i guess ill find out when i put the new bumper on tmr

if you hit so hard that you cracked the windshield your going to want to look over everything real close before buying any parts. If the frame is bent it may be a lost cause. maybe trailer it to an alignment shop to see how bad the damage really is before you get to far into the project.

 

If you ask me you got what you deserved. Some people cant drive and risk other people's life too. Thank god nothing happend except that you f.. up your own car. Why would you mess if you have other people than you sitting in your car? I dont get it sorry..

I don't think paras99 is the first to have made a mistake. Our cars are sporty, they're fun to drive, and they're RWD. So don't be too hard on him. I've made a few mistakes myself, for that matter. At least he knows he did wrong.

He's come here for support, we should give hime some. My $.02 is, parts are cheap for these cars and he won't have much trouble getting what he needs. I agree too though, definitely get the frame alignment checked by a pro body shop.

 

the windshield cracked because my arm hit the rear view mirror which broke off and cracked in the windshield.

 

i was in my car alone.. my friends were behind me in their cars doing the same thing. it was at night and there were no other cars around but yes i do agree it was stupid thing to do

 

OK im sorry then. It sounded like there were with u. I just have seen and read to many times about young people getting killed for **** like that. I was streetracing too few years ago and it was extreme sometimes, but I never had anybody else in my car or with me on the street that didnt knew about the risk.

I think the damage can be fixed so its not too bad.

 

yeah the damage is not too bad.. i just need to get the parts now. i worked on the car today. looks like the frame and everything is fine. just need a black iroc hood. front bumper and a fender. rims and tires.

i was planning on my buying SFC but im on tight on money so the plans for modifying my car have been set back which sucks

 

as long the frame is ok its not a very big deal. maybe try to get a camaro with broken engine and use the parts and store the rest for later. should be cheaper than to get the parts solo.

 

that would be nice but i dont have a place to store all those extra parts since im a college student

Wow that really sucks man, i did some dumb stuff with my car but put it on hold for a while after i spun it 3 times in the middle of a street taking a corner to fast. good luck with the parts hunt!

 

yeah i know what u mean. its going to be a while before i get confident behind the wheel again. i was scared shitless after it happened

 

wow man that sucks, ive done my share of stupid **** but ive never messed up that bad ( in my car anyway) good luck on fixin it. btw you shouldnt have a welded diff , thats never a good idea even a spool is stupid on a street car

 

it already had a welded diff when i first bought the car. planning to change the whole drive-train for the car pretty soon

ls1 swap ,new suspension,t56 trans and a new rear end. think i might go with the 4th gen rear axle.

the car isnt that bad of shape. just needs new bumper rims tires hood and fender. thank god nothing happend to the frame
