Chin Spoiler - Mountaing Tabs - Plates - Etc
I have already asked this question and searched the forums but I swear every camaro I take apart is different with brackets and stuff. My 92 RS I have a stock fender and a non stock fender but I drilled the holes so it matched up with the non-aero chin spoiler I have now. I am parting out a 85 z28 and they have different brackets instead of a plate they are tabs. How is someone suppose to take these tabs off without breaking the chin spoiler? I had to grab it with vice grips and use a socket. Also I would like to get brand new ones or figure out a way to do it nicely. I don't like to do things the **** way. I am kind of a perfectionist. One of the brackets is bent for the one side and im not a bodywork kind of person either. I would take pictures but can't find my camera. If anyone could help that would be great. One has metal plate brackets for the chin spoiler, another has metal tab things.

Fender I got from Junkyard - Driverside

Stock 92 RS Fender

The attached pictures are all from the 1985 Z28 but the brackets are different as you can see. I had metal plates on mine I believe. Where can I get new brackets or how should I attach the chin spoiler to fender/bumper? Should I just make metal plates and use zip ties or would that be to ghetto?

from the picture you have what you need, worry about the front 1st, if they are stuck to the spoiler, like it happen to me jsut take your time getting them out and if the holes in the bumper got to big where the screw go's in thru, just buy big rings,
and for the sides if the taps on the spoiler are broken double sided tape will take care of it and the flap that goes around the fender with the lettle screw.
hope it helps !
