The title says it all............Havent posted in about 20 days or so cuz a stint in the county hotel.......dont ask, I got caught.....so I wrecked my TA .....Not that bad, just body work on the front fender that I already did, and if the rattle can spraypaint matched better you wouldnt even know that I ran it off the road (it was raining and I was having some fun P-sliding on a country road, dammit can U say DITCH!!!!!) but spare me the lectures, and just give me an honest.....the guy that towed me is willing to trade straight up even an 87 Fiero (black) 5spd 4 banger (tech 4?).....Deal or no deal? my car WILL NOT PASS VA INSPECTION due to rotted suspention and steering, as well as a recently cracked windshield...the fiero has a brand new inspecttion and I here that V8 swaps make those things BEAST!!!
What would you do?????? I can pick up another Fbody for less than a grand....... but Ive got a 5spd and those seem pretty rare...... I AM SO TORN HHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEELLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!

 

if you want the fiero, chekc it over really well for rot, they are bigger rust beckets than 3rd gens

 

Is it a Fiero GT? If so, do it, and pick up a thirdgen project... Sounds like yours needs a TON of work.

 

The 5spd in the Fiero is a piece of crap. The 2.5 is the standard Iron Duke, same as an S10 or early Camaro. The later 2.5s run a bit better, but they're still anything but performance cars. Any Trans Am is three times the car as a 4cyl Fiero. Depending on how trashed your T/A may be, it might be a fair trade, but that's up to you.
The kit to put a V8 in a Fiero will cost more then both of the cars combined. The result is a riot when it's done properly, but it's not exactly easy to do easily.

 

with Drew. They are sum pretty impressive Fiero's around here they even have there own club. Some with chev's and some with northstar v8's.
