70 trans am spoiler on a third gen
well i bought a 79 trans am spoiler off ebay because thir was no way i was paying 300 bucks for the 5inch one off hawks, so im building it to bolt onto my 84 camaro, before i do anything dumb has anyone tried this before and how did it come out

Pic? The 4th gen, 93-97 wings look great & are WAY cheaper than the 3rd gen 'glass ones. Generally $75 or less.

Not sure how you're gonna make that work - the 2nd gen Birds had a much skinnier rear end, much shorter trunk if I remember right. But hey, with a big enough hammer, anything is possible!

i was goin to cut it and add to it to make it sit on the hatch, havent got it yet ordered it off ebay, i forget what their made out of

All I can say is good luck with it....you're gonna need all you can get. Unless you have superior fabrication/modding skills you're going to just end up tossing it in the trash after you've put several hours and several more dollars into it. I'm not trying to shoot down your idea, just being realistic. The shape of the two generation of cars are COMPLETELY different with one being sloped, narrow, and rounded and the other being flat, wide, and squared off.

well i want to be unique, have it stand apart and hell its alot cheaper than the 300 dollar 5 inch spoiler too but i so see what you are saying and all, i payed only 40 bucks with shipping soo not losing out really

welli just strated it i got 2 2nd gen spoiler i cut one in half, and cut 9.5inches out of the other one now its the right width
