Troubleshooting a possible problem

I am restoring and hot rodding my 88 iroc.. I plan to put scissor doors on it, but it has t-tops. Will the weight of the door effect the scissor door hinges? Will they even work at all with the hinge? I would really like some help as I dont really know what I should do.

Not sure about the doors or why you'd want that on a third gen but im curious, what's an 84 iroc? An 84 maro with iroc parts swapped onto it?

If you do everything by the book, the T-Tops should have no effect as the scissor door hinge still mounts in the similar location as original hinges and no weight will be supported by the window. However, I agree with last post, WHY? Do you mean to say you have a 84 Z28HO, that is the closest to an IROC in 84 that I can think of?

Yes, apologies. The person I bought it from converted it from a little 4 cylinder into an 88 iroc z28. As for why I would put them on, I just want my car to be unique from other camaros, and since I live in an area that has few hot rods, I think it would be cool
