window sweep (outer). do you have to remove Glass to install?

should have asked this a few weeks ago..

picked up a factry GM outer window sweep.(from GM $48) my sweep has a small nick in it..(it's a car show thing) you can see it ..but i know it's there..

any way, do you have to remove the glass to install it..
(yes door panle, and every thing is off) would have to go out in the shop to take a look. but will just ask the guys who have done them ON THIS SITE, (forgive the 8 years of dust from sitting in a box)

I did it. The mirror is in the way IIRC but having the top door panel piece out of the way helps too.

Re: window sweep (outer). do you have to remove Glass to install?

thank you for the link... have been wanting to get the door put back together with the new window sweep. the nick on mine has been that way for 16+ years. the sweeps are still like new.(car has always) been locked up out of the Sun. and taken care of.. it's just the last 8 years sitting getting Dusty..in my shop. and the door panle got a winkel from getting wet i gess.. so taking the time to fix all of the things wrong with the Door..and that was the one thing i wanted to do. from Day 1. (93)

any way thanks ill give it a shot.

Since you're in the door anyway, you might consider some of the ideas/suggestions in the following link:
