Cost of fender repair?

My right front fender is smashed in, and I need to get it replaced and painted, How much would this run me roughly? I would try it myself, I just dont have a place to do it.

Re: Cost of fender repair?

best bet is to buy the fender yourself and take it in to have it painted and installed, I figure maybe $150-200 hundred to have it painted and installed. Thats just a guess as I do my own work, but thats probably what i would charge depending on whether or not the fender is new, or used and needs additional prepwork. But from a cost standpoint of supplies it wouldnt cost much at all, mainly just labor that will get ya.If you buy the fender yourself you'll probably save some money, Unless you have a shop that has a good source for used parts.

Ok thanks man, I got someone who does bodywork for a living and is going to hopefully fix the fender up for me, imagining that it would be a little cheaper.

this auto repair costs you about $250. Assuming you have an acryllic paint and clearcoat. The whole fender won't need to be painted if the rest of the paint is in good shape. You should get a repair estimate from a few places to see what the real situation is going to be for you.

First off, it depends what color your car is. If it's any color other then black, or like a victory red (a few other colors out there too) the door will need to be blended in order for the color of the fender and door to match. Chances are, if you panel paint it....it won't match.

What color is your car?
