big hood bird = attention whore?!
Re: big hood bird = attention *****?!
I think it looks pretty good. I'd love to see a slightly rescaled hood bird from the V-6 turbo firebird put on a V-8 power buldge hood. Though maybe with the 70's esque feathers removed and more of a block outline.

OK so its settled. I'm doing the bird! Hopefully the car will get painted by sometime in April and I'll put the bird on shortly after.
And btw, post up pictures of YOUR birds!

Those 2nd gen birds with turbos were V8s. I thought about doing just what you said, but decided to just put it on the bulge more similar to how it was done on the early thirdgen trans ams, only without the louvered look. For some reason, the site you linked to doesn't show that style hoodbird.

I'm more of a Camaro guy, but I can only see the chicken looking great under two circumstances:
#1: Its ghosted - badass x 100000
or
#2: The rest of the car is 'modern', meaning it has modern wheels (17,18) with a nice stance, and nice paint, and the right look. Taking a car that still looks like its trapped in the late 80's and sticking a bird on the hood looks a little odd to me. I like the pic of the black 91-92 GTA in the first page; a more modern looking car takes the '*******' factor out of having a chicken on the hood...
ie.

Just my humble opinion...

And I'll save the huge full hood graphics for the 2nd gen TA that I'm going to resto-mod next...

It can look good, but looks awkward from certain angles. I loved mine

Eventually it started peeling from being out in the elements. This is what was left after I peeled it back off. It's wax

Re: big hood bird = attention *****?!
wow WTF? who in their right mind would putthat on the hood of that car.... seriously? and would anyone know how i can fix the back window in my bird?
the original one feel out awhile ago and i have since bought a new one... but its not wide enough to reach the sides!
I was thinking since its taller then i need it to be.... could i stand it up cut it in half and put them in like that like a spilt window?
i know there would be a slit in the windows center
coud i mend thhat together or bond it together with something?
if anyone can help let me know... PM me

If it was even like a Grand Prix or something it wouldn't be that bad. But on a grandma toyota camry? It's like putting The Judge on a civic, or Z28 on an Escort.

I love the hood chicken when it is done right. The only reason we haven't done it to any of ours is that we are afraid to try putting it on without messing it up, and we're not willing to pay to have it done.
