A little help putting things back.
I have an 82 Trans Am and she is in pieces, I got her with the PS fender off because it needed some surface rust removed and to be primered, so I've sanded and primered but now I want to know how it goes back on, anyone know where I can find a diagram (and maybe something to tell me what bolts I need, as all the bolts are in a bag...unlabeled.) Also, do I need to align it or does it just go on one way? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: A little help putting things back.
There is a bracket that goes in the front of the fender to hold the bumper cover and the fender together. Has 4 studs and 4 nuts. The largest bolt goes at the bottom by the door. There will be around 8 fender bolts with wide washers that go in the top, 3 of which may or may not be in the hood hinge. There are also 2 fender bolts with small washers that go into clips on the V-bracket attached to the frame at the lower side in front of the wheel. You may need to add shims and what not to get everything to line up right. I hope you marked the positions of the headlight (if removed) and the hood hinge and hinge bolts so everything goes back into place nicely again.
Oh, and there may be a series of black christmas-tree pins that hold the outer fender plastic to the wheel lip on the fender, and 4 small screws for the fender plastic to the inner wheelhouse if removed. DO NOT forget those pins, as the fender plastic WILL rub on the tire and burn up.

Is there somewhere I can get all the bolts/nuts/washers? I can't seem to find any body bolts in all the jumbled mess. Also what does the bracket look like? Where can I get a diagram? I need images...

You can get the bolts and stuff from the hardware store if you can find the right size. The one bracket, between the fender and the bumper cover, is shaped just like the front of the fender and is difficult to mistake for anything else. If you have the rear one off as well, the difference is that the rear bracket has 3 bolts instead of 4. The other bracket is a simple V, the top of the V (2 points) bolting to the fender, and the bottom to the side of the frame.
If I can find my baggie, I'll try to get you some pics.
