Just bought one from junk yard, mine was broke and hanging in the door. Does anyone have a diagram or can explain how the **** controller attaches to the plate on the door. thanks

 

Here's a couple of pics that should help. There's two screws that secure this smaller faceplate to the main one. then as you can see you angle it out to clear the plastic clips as shown in the pic. Then you can angle the smaller face plate through the main one to clear it.




If you need to remove/install the smaller faceplate then you can twist the metal clip in the back to separate/secure them.

 

Thanks for the photos, The one I got was off a firebird and I think the controller **** is not angled as the one in the photo, I drop it off at the paint shop yesterday. That was the last piece of the puzzle!!! Car will be delivered today and I can get a closer look when I install the new door panels. I know I dont have the metal clip on the rear of the bezel, then again I may have it, took it apart over ayear ago as the controller did not work.
