Well....Since I made the original PS & still have it, swapping cars under it was a simple task.

I think the curved slopes of the raised section flow pretty good with the curves of the 91/92.

I think it would fit a 91/92 better, without the center ridge.

Definitely gives ya something to think about... I actually found a 91 Formula that I'm thinking about getting for fitment purposes for the new hood, but I may actually want to stay pre-91 if I'm building that particular hood - if for nothing else, just to get the prop lines coming off of the nose.

Can you post that pic under the Firebird thread as well so we've got it over there? Lets continue any discussion of the Firebird stuff in that thread:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/body...-firebird.html

Thanks

Any new news on the progress of that hood becoming a reality? im definately in line if so

the pic enclosed is just about exactly what is in the plans for mine, but different rims, nochback, and blue/black phantom paint.

would love the hood in Gucci(Carbon Fiber)

I haven't started on the Camaro hood yet, but we will be making a fiberglass version of the Jap heat extractor hood - As for Carbon Fiber - We actually have some in stock, but the stuff is so freakin' expensive, its just not practical.

another vote for 1 center vent rising into a 2"-2-1/2" cowl.

There will be ducting built into the hood that will allow for drainage. If the water comes down completely vertical, some will still get through obviously, but as far as water running off the hood, into the extractors, that will be diverted.

Yup - I'm still out west enjoying the insane amounts of snow with family. I'll be back first part of this coming week - I'm hoping to get started on it when I return.

Thanks again to Tricked-Out-Toy for the Camaro hood so we can get started!

Re: Need your input, CAMARO Japanese Heat Extraction Hood *seriously*

when the hood is finally done, i may have to drive up there to pick one up, and to shake the hands of all those involved, for bringing this "unicorn" to the states. JK, well not about the driving up there to pick it up and to shake hands, but it would be for getting this done.

It's awesome that we have some people that will still produce items for the third gen crowd, because it almost always seems that most companies, even though interested, wind up dropping the ball because they think there is little to no interest in things like this.

Much excitement is displayed for this hood, mine included.

So what did you guys agree on for the design?
And if possible, i'm sure we would like to see progress if you have time.

Thanks again Dante, for bringing this to the market. Cheers!

+1 for the middle extractor hole only. Please do not include the side two vents.
I'd like to buy this hood and the convertible decklid you will be producing. Please let me know if you can give me a discount.
Thanks
