Dante, any word on when the mould will be getting started or when we can possibly expect the first hoods to be completed? I'm getting all worked up reading through all this!! LOL.

How about a RA2 hood, with all 4 openings, like my old Tahoe?

Or the lower 2 as a separate piece to be molded into the front fascia?

Great! That should hold me over for a little while. Can't wait to see the progress on it!

What a chore that turned out to be around here.

I was originally going to use the Formula hood, but decided against it. This one will put us a step ahead of using the Formula one.

Anyway, we ARE working on it; its just taking some time - I will post some pictures of the process when we've got something of substance to show.

....stay tuned....
AWESOME!! I'll be keeping an eye out for some updates/pics of it!

How about a hood that looks like stock but doesn't weight as much as an elephant but STILL uses mounts, latch, etc.

Those already exist. He's building a new design.

Yup - Oddly enough, I was really surprised last night just how light the flat hoods are. I expected it to be much heavier, but it was quite light, considering the overall size.

My original goal was to make one first and use it as a market test, but the demand for both the birds and Camaros seems to be strong, so we'll just make both initially.

I can't wait to get some pics posted - These hoods are gonna be extremely high quality and are going to look bad-a$$.
Im stoked!!!

Re: Need your input, FIREBIRD owners, What kind of hood do you want made for the 'bir

I think a hood like this would be sweet if it could be integrated into the lines of a third gen..

Though i do like how this scoop just sinks in instead of popping upward as much as a lot of the above hoods..

I think the factory formula hood looks great but it being off set sucks. If someone where to copy the effect from the drivers side to the pass side to make it one scoop with a ridge running down the center. now that would be sweet. Vents in the front would not be a bad Idea.

The "Double Formula" hood already exists. Probably already shown in this thread, but I'm not gonna sit & look for you. It was posted either in this thread of another one the threads about making a new 'bird hood.

I would like to see a hood similar to the factory turbo bulge hood, but instead of having it only on the driver side. Make it so there is on the passenger side too. With a gap between the two bulges like the WS6 ram air hood. Or a shaker scoop for a third gen and a hood mounted tach. For those that want a thirdgen smokey and the bandit car

This looks like it flows with the 3rd gen body style. The hood has to flow or the entire car will look off.

I liked the hood Hawks put on their stormtrooper build but would want it without the window.
