front spoiler paint crack
front spoiler paint crack
Quick question: on the way home from the movies I must've scraped my front spoiler on the road (judging by the scrape marks on the bottom) and it flexed enough to crack my new paint. Without paying to get it repainted or getting a car mask, what can I do to keep the crack from spreading? Keep in mind please that I do show my car often at car shows so nothing supremely ugly please.

got the same thing on my 87...there's no easy way that i can think of to make it look "right" without wet sanding and repainting that part.....so i just try NOT to look at mine....i'm wating for a few more marks somewhere else on the car before i mix up some more red.....

Re: front spoiler paint crack
It wont spread unless you hit it again. The only proper fix is to sand it down to the layer the crack went to and respray it.

Re: front spoiler paint crack
yes i work with that the whole day they use it on motorhomes heres the downside, after you take it of it will peel ur paint off and/or will leave glue residue and its a b***h to take it off, takes time second of all when they put it on they might peel ur paint off since its cracking already and they have to pull back to make it glue evenly
