Need body work help, 1989 IROC-Z

I'm wanting to get my 89 iroc painted here within the next year or so, before it gets painted there is some body work to be done. I just got done doing an LSX swap and the car will get painted GM Torch Red. It has a pretty straight body but my main areas of concern are on the roof, it's got some spots where it is rusting from the inside out, how would I go about fixing this? would it be better to take it to someone to fix it?

Here are some pics:

I installed the Hawk's 5" rear spoiler so you can see where the stock spoiler was, and the hatch just looks like it has some minor surface rust. I think i'm going to buy a new front drivers side fender, there's a big crease in it from when I was doing my engine swap and my hood fell over and the coner of the hood caught my fender I had some left over red and black paint so I decided to rattle can the hood, looks ok.

the best thing to do is cut out the rusted metal and weld in new metal. if you don't have a mig and/or don't feel comfortable doing then take it somewhere. usually a small spot like that turns in to a rusted area 10 times bigger.

Damn, I guess i'll see if I can get a quote from some places around here. They are probably going to want an arm and a leg to do it though.

if you grind down the rusted areas and use fiberglass and/or fiberglass filler or plastic filler you can get decent results but it will likely show back up after a few years.
