I bought this 91 rs(V.6 191-3.1L) for $1,700...THERES DENTS ON THE FRONT/SIDE ON BOTH SIDES. i WANT TO GET IT PAINTED, HAVEN'T DECIDED ON A COLOR YET. wAS THINKING ABOUT GOING TO A DARK BLUE CUZ I WANT BLACK STRIPES ON THE HOOD & DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL LOOK RIGHT WITH THE TEAL. I WANT YOUR OPINIONS ON ANY IMPROVEMENTS I COULD MAKE TO THE BODY, TIRES & RIMS.(FRONT & BACK PICS COMING SOON). I ALSO WANT DARKER TINT. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST TINT TO GO WITH?

It ain't real if it ain't teal!.......I have a teal 91 and I HATE the color. I'm going ultra blue metallic with white stripes and doing it myself. Talk to the shop that's doing the tint. I'm sure they can offer suggestions.....and you might want to check the laws in your state about how dark you can tint the door glass. sports car + tinted windows= pulled over most of the time especially if you plan on driving fast....just my 2 cents

i also want a metallic blue. I want to paint it myself to save money but i have never painted a car in my life, scared i"MA mess it up & ruin it.

Painting yourself isn't that hard. Just do some research and take your time. You would rather take an extra week or two doing it right the first time then have to waste the time to do it again. And just remeber that whatever someone else can do, so can you. Good luck.

Wow - all the bad mouthing the teal. I happen to really like my teal 92 alot! Granted, the factory teal after this many years was shot - but I repainted HO Kandy Teal on silverflake, and it's really nice. And I swapped on a IROC hood with louvers, and the lovers are black, and it looks really nice the black on the teal. I also did the light buckets black as well.

Not that I don't like blues - my fav paint is probably midnight metallic blue - but I'm happy I stayed with the teal. It's a trick finding ways to accessorize and tie the teal into the interior, but it's a challenge I'm enjoying - makes it unique.

Oh - and the body is easy to fix or get fixed - worry about the nose cone - they are getting impossible to find!

If you don't understand it I will give a few examples.

For NY it Say's 70% this means you must have 70% light transference NOT that you can tint your windows to 30%

For NM it Say's 20% (lucky bastards) light transference. this state has the Darkest allowable tint law.

My advise is tint it to the legal limit and print out the page in the link and keep it in your car for tint stops.
