Iroc Z Hood
Iroc Z Hood
I just bought a 88 Iroc Z and it's missing one of the Hood Louvers (|Drivers side I have is detached and sits in the back seat right now)
What can I do to the hood to make it look acceptable besides outright replacing it. I'd like to fill the Louver area with something, but don't want to spend $100 on it.
Any Suggestions?
I am prepping the car to paint it myself, but little things like this drive myself crazy when it comes to looks when the car is done.
Or if you have a Passenger side Hood Louver PM me. That's my first option.

ok to go cheap, cover the holes were the louvers attach the hood and paint that area semigloss black, it will look like the early models fiberglass hoods.
and dont have to spend a $100 bucks like you said , but personally I would be the louver is one of the things that sets the IROC'S apart. but what ever works for ya

Nothing at the JY, and "The Camaro Place" wants $200 for a set of used.
I might just get a cheap maaco job, put on one louver, and buy the other when the time comes.
Riding with one louver would suck, but only for two weeks.

So did you search every Junkyard/PicknPull in a 100 miles and give them a call?
Give denny a email from Thirdgenranch.com, Maybe he can get you for cheap? If its the last resort to overpay, then go ahead. I would search every place I can before spending online.

Where can I find a listing of Junkyards? I scoured the 10 or so I found within 45 miles, but up in Broward and West Palm Beach I would have no clue what areas to start at.
One Junkyard quoted me $75 each IF they had it. Unluckily (to be over with it) they didn't. I figured offering $50 cash would get it.
Anyone know where to find Junkyard listings?

Yellow pages. Auto section. Auto parts recyclers and dismantlers, or auto wreckers, or something like that. Internet for similar listings
