SPRING QUESTION
Hey guys, I think this issuse has been beat up several times. I want to replace the springs on my 87 gta. I was reading on some other posts where the moog 5660 and 5662 are supposed replacments for our cars and some people have had good luck with them while most havent. Well needless to say, I came across a deal on them so got them well car sits almost 30 inches in the air now, My question is what spring do I need to make it sit stock height?? Thanks in advance

Did you get the spring isolators positioned properly? Easiest thing to do is tape them in correct place on the tops of the springs with electrical tape, that way they don't twist or fall off during install.
The front springs have to be lined up correctly on the bottoms as well - in the A-Arm groove where the spring sits, there is 2 drainage holes about 3/4 in apart from each other - these are alignment holes actually - the end of the coil must sit between those 2 holes. Make sure you've seated the springs correctly, and that they are set into their rubber isolators correctly.
Then of course, new springs take a few weeks to settle. When I installed my Eibach lowering springs, my car actually raised - the old springs were sagging, and the new Eibachs took a few weeks to fully settle - in the end it was lowered correctly - but at first sight it looked like a mistake.

Yea tripled checked everything even put the old springs back in just to make sure I was seating them right, and with the originals in sits like its supposed to
