Paint code don't match
Paint code don't match
I have an 87 Camaro IROC.
The color is that kinda maroon, purpleish looking color, I think looks really good.
The problem I have is that the paint color inside under the arm rest does not match the car. It says black.
If anyone knows what that colors name or what I'm talking about or the code it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Paint code don't match
are you sure the rpo build sheet is still the original one? if its been changed, that would explain the discrepancy. Not uncommon if the console was swap before (my last camaro had 2 sheets because the cover had been replaced). If the build sheet has been replaced, you may be able to get a replacement one at your local GM dealer. If it is in fact the original sheet, then you car's been repainted and may not be a factory color
Re: Paint code don't match
Thats what I was thinkin to, the center console prolly has been swapped out. The color is the original or someone took apart the car and painted it but I don't think that is the case. I'm gonna try to find the color online and post a link.
Here she is, the first day I brought her home

I see other Camaros with the same color and I get jealous

That's not an 87 IROC color. The car has been repainted.
Not all of these are IROC-Z colors, but if you look carefully, you'll be able to see which ones are.
