how much power can my frame take?
I have a 91 rs with t-tops it has a 305 throttle body I've had it for a little over a year and I want to do some engine mods (a 350/400 camshaft aluminum heads tpi or multiport and a new intake) but my step-dad and grandpa said that it would twist the frame I was just seeing what you guys think I'm new to this stuff and want other opinions

I don't think anything would be permanently distorted
with those engine plans, but chassis flex is one of the
3rd gen's worst features and ANY thirdgen will really
benefit from having the chassis reinforced to correct
this fault:subframe connectors and a 3pt. strut tower
brace at the minimum....
Beleve me they drive so much nicer when rigid
(when i got my '82 with 86000 mi it wasn't too bad
and a brand new '90 F/B i drove was very tight,but
due to bad design and less than optimal assembly
methods, flex can creep in over the years..)

Re: how much power can my frame take?
Subframe connectors can get it way of exhaust. I have dual catalytic converter option and they conflict with UMI connectors I bought. Some people can get them to fit. Mine might fit but would be really tight. My outside stock exhaust pipe is partially crushed so they could fit it up against the inside pipe. I think spohn or bmr makes SFC's that fit dual cat cars. SFC section near cats is a smaller round tube that is bent up. Doesn't look as strong as box versions like UMI's. Not saying it can't be done. Just might be another modifying project if you do. I will have to remove cats and exhaust to install SFC's. Can't wait to get SFC's installed though
You won't have a problem with your car though.
