on your console lid there should be an rpo code sheet, take those codes and then type em into a decoder (i know camarosource.ca has one and there might even be one on this site) and then voila you got yourself a paint code.

There is no code on the console lid of an 82. Check the trim tag on the radiator support. It should list the codes there. It will likely be listed as something like 16L 16U or the like. The 16 is the GM paint number and the U is for upper color, L is for the lower color.
