Please help, how to remove rear bumper cover.
Well straight to the point, I got an nice inch around scooped dent in my rear bumper cover and I would like to try my best to remove it, and it looks like I will have to remove the rear bumper cover and I need to know what I need to do.
I realize pushing the dent back out will cracked the paint, well I would just like the dent out. So please, I need directions on doing this. Thanks.

Did you see these threads? i've never had to do it so im not sure how accurate it is.
Do you plan on heating it up a bit and trying to bend it out? I know its urethane so you cant just bang the dent back out

Re: Please help, how to remove rear bumper cover.
Thanks for the link, I didnt even think of searching before I made the thread as I was so frusturated. So basically if i remove those plastic tabs the cover should at the least be movable enough so I can get to the dent better?
About the heat, Would i just heat the back of the dent tell it pushes back out or would I also apply the ice to it like other dents? Thanks.

Re: Please help, how to remove rear bumper cover.
I tried to fix a nose cover one time by heating it (in the headlight bucket was bowed up), i could never get it as flat as factory, but i bet with a block of wood and a little more patience i could of gotten it pretty close.
I'm not a body guy and i really don't wanna tell you to do something that I'm not 100% positive will work you know? if you try it before someone else chimes in, start off slow. not a lot of heat, just enough to get it moving. i think the more heat you use the better the chance you mess up the paint.
When i heated mine, it didn't move on its own, i had to try and shape it back myself.
and on the the ice, I've seen where u heat and cool quickly and it causes a dent to pop out, but that's on metal body parts, these are urethane so I'm not sure if that works.

And btw, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/body...ver-saved.html
On this thread a guy says to heat in small areas, then cool it off with a wet rag. Closest I've found to directions, Good luck. You should snap some before and after pictures
