Door window motor

The window motor for my passenger door seems to need replacement. The window goes down a little, then stops, then a little later when you try it, it will go down a little bit more. Is this actually the motor, or is it something else? And if it is the motor, do you have any advice on replacing it yourself, because I know it's hard to get at.
I have a 1991 Pontiac Firebird.

Re: Door window motor

Thanks for the info, I will definitely keep that in mind when I get to fixing that. Unfortunately my radiator just started having issues so that is now my top priority. I don't think I'm gonna fix that one myself, but I guess it depends on what's wrong with it.
Thanks!
