door seals

so yesterday i went to open my car door, and just about ripped the handle off because my door froze shut, so i got out a couple blowdryers and went to work, i finally got them open(woohoo) and i noticed the door seal that has the two pins in it, had ripped out, one pin took the seal with it but the other just popped out. now i tried to get the pin back in, but my giant fingers had some difficulty, so does anyone have any sort of idea of how to get it back into the seal?

Re: door seals

next time coat your rubber door seals with WD or pam... helps keep them from sticking

Re: door seals

it will definitely help to warm up the seals when you're trying to put the pins back in. when they're warmer, they're more pliable and combined with a little bit of grease , you should be able to wiggle the pin back in
