Does anyone know where to get new door latches? Not the handles, the actual latch mechanisms themselves. Mine are 20 years old so it couldn't hurt to replace them when I paint...

 

I've seen them in Classic's catalog

 

Classic doesn't show them for the 1991... I guess I will call them.

 

You get any info from Classic? Im looking for some to repair my 92.

As am I for my 86... Only part in the door I have not changed yet lol.. could be one reason why power door locks aren't budging

 

Classic has them up to 88. The ones for 88 are like a hundred as the 82-87 I believe were 300. Anyone know what the difference is? They all should bolt up as the doors are the same as are the outside handles. I know the power door lock actuators could have changed, attached to latch. Can't think of anything else that could be different.

 

I would really like to know this as well... Although I think just degreasing and then regreasing mine might do the job of restoring the ones i have. They don't look too difficult to remove (3 torx bolts and disconnecting a few rods (one from lock and one from door handle) I think?)

 

I have found a supply of these for our cars. I would like to make a little on them, so PM me and I will get you some information...

 

Yeah, door latches are about $360 EACH. Even if they were a pair that would be outrageous. I refuse to pay that amount. I'll be looking around for some nice ones at the junkyard.
