Transmission: 5 speed manual

Axle/Gears: 3.23

1985 hatch pull-shut motor

Hi, does anyone know if other GM cars share the hatch pull-down motor with the 85 camaro? thanks. Russ

The 85 wasn't equipped with the power pull down feature. IIRC, 86 was the first year.

The fact is, its there, it has a switch, it matches the RPO, the motor doesn't work, and I need a replacement.

My 85 has a switch to pop the hatch open (RPO A90 Power Hatch Release), but there is no pull down. You can check the following site for replacement parts, but it appears they start with 1986.
