Quarter panel destroyed

Recently picked up 1989 for cheap that has been hit hard on passenger door.Hit destroyed door and pushed door jam back so I'm going to try to fix it up.I've got a good donor car for replacement parts so need to know what is the best way to remove quarter panel and what is the best way to reinstall,I've got air tools, garage, and a Miller mig welder

Re: Quarter panel destroyed

If it got into the jam that bad....it's going to be put on the rack to be pulled....or it will never be right.

Re: Quarter panel destroyed

I'm going to take it to the frame shop to have checked and pulled staight but what is the best way to remove good quarter from donor, drill out all spot welds or just cut off with a cutoff wheel. What is best way to do it so I don't screw up the good quarter and it will go back on correctly?

Re: Quarter panel destroyed

try drilling out the spot welds and using a cut off wheel to cut the top. cut it big so you can trim later. take your time and do it right while its on the car its a lot easier to do it on the car than trimming it off the car.
