I was checking evilbay the other day and came across this manual. I tried to buy it, but work got in the way. I have never seen another one, and now I am looking to find one. Stopped at my local dealership and struck out there. I wanted to take it apart, scan it and convert to a searchable PDF. I service production print systems and computers so I have access to all the stuff needed. There is a number on it that looks like 22002.63-1. If anyone has info on one of these let me know. Thanks.

ha yea cost me like 34bucks in the end. ive already skimmed through. gm did some weird things to test for leaks.
EX:
the dollar test
take a dollar bill and slide it between the window with the door shut and if the bill can be pulled through too easily it could indicate a spot where water could get in.

I think copyfixr wants to know if he can borrow it.

ill let you guys know. its basically alot of common sense and some stuff we might not know. but almost everystep or tip has you taking alot apart so you can adjust pieces into place. and then shows how to test your progress.

does anyone have recommendations for what to use to lubricate the door/window rubber seals (and reduce squeaking)?
I have had good luck with pure silicon spray. Windows work real nice after.
subscribe!Great find!

Re: GM T-top Waterleak Manual
i found this site and its basicaly the same thing as the camaro and firebird manual in a way. its for fieros but u can get a good idea here. http://www.fierottop.com/waterleak/ there is lots of good info on possible leak areas, t-top adjustments, door glass adjustments, and correct operation and maintenace tips. i know its not the one we are all waiting on but hopefully some of u can find this useful? i still want to see the original camaro and firebird manual thou.
it also says that u should use 100% silicone spray monthly on rubber seals

ya sorry for the wait guys, i work nights and sleep during the day with random days off i will try to get this to u by next week. its 47pages long and will take a while to scan.
Pate thanks for the link. Good stuff on there. the 100% silicon spray works good. I have a buddy that's a mechanic and he told me about it years ago. A little in the window tracks makes them go up and down real nice.
Bobby, you gotta work. I live in North Dakota so it's not Camaro weather yet. :-)

Nice find ! This is why I like this site, SO much useful information to help keep these 3rd gens on the road (as well as helpful people out there who love these cars)

Just curious, but did the 4th generation cars have T-Top leaks too or had all the flaws been worked out by then?
My third gen t-tops don't leak,so I'm lucky,I guess they improved them as they got into the 90's.

Sorry guys...I should have read the remaining threads. I doubt if it would help mine since they are C&C T-tops..Originally Posted by djmarch

It looks like there are a few of these floating around. Just scored one off evilbay for $9 shipped! It's coming from Vancouver BC, so it may take a little while to get to Fargo, ND but that's ok. It's not really t-top weather here yet anyway.

That manual may not be the most useful thing to an F-body owner, but it will have it's moments, I'm sure! I totally would love a PDF copy of that bad boy!

i sent a word document with all the scans on it to copyfixr who is going to see if he can make a pdf file and printed copies.
What catergory did you guys find this in?
84 1LE, are you referring to an evilbay category? I found it by accident doing a 82-92 Camaro search and weeding through all the results. I have found some decent stuff doing this that is maybe listed incorrectly or labeled wrong.
Yeah, thats what i meant.Figured it would be a odd find.Did you type search on ebaymotors or just ebay?
Senior Member
Just bought a brand new OER t-top and door seal kit, so this'll come in handy in keeping them fresh.
I got my copy in the mail today. Picked one up of Evilbay for $10 shipped. Went in to work and took the copy Bobby sent me and scanned mine and mixed it to get the best results. It has been cleaned up, indexed and made searchable. Want to get input from a moderator to see how I can get this sucker up on here for everyone.

Outstanding, and thanks again. Get a paypal so people can donate to you for your efforts.
I just did a search on eBay. It really depends on how it's listed. No need to donate anything. I have learned so much from this site I just want to give back a little. It was easy to get the manual electronic. I have access to high dollar equipment. I fix it for a living. Just waiting for a mod to get back to me on the best way to get it up here.

I hear ya on that, I've learned a lot here too. If you ever want any info regarding H.I.D. installs on these cars pm me, as I dont want to clutter this thread with that info lol.
If you want you can send it to me and I'll throw it up on my Webserver.
OK guys here is a link to the Manual so you can check it out, cuddos to Mark for the great work!!!

You guys are awesome, thank you.
No problem. This place in amazing. Where else can a guy sit in his sweat pants drinking coffee in Fargo ND, send a document to someone in Switzerland to post up here for everyone to use! The car I have is for my son. we bought it before he got his license. He was able to drive it last fall before the snow started. Now we have to kick it into high gear and get some work done to it. Just a V6 Sport Coupe, t-tops is the only option. No rust, no dents and runs pretty good for $800.

Thanks!
The main source of water getting into my IROC-Z seems to be between the glass top locking pins to the rear. I'm guessing that as my body flexes slightly, it's moving around a little.
SFCs are on the list...
