I like the look of a simple cowl over a stock hood, but the daytona or sunaco hoods I like the best
Re: opinions? i cant decide between my 2 hoods
c i really dont liek daytona or sunaco hoods, looks lik something hollywood would use if they wer tryna turn a camaro into a space ship no offence to daytona hood owners, sum look nice tho
but its pretty much between the cowl and the 91 Z28 hood

Go with the cowl. I really like my Goodmark 2in cowl hood, especially if you have TBI. Pop the hood and there sits 14x3 open element with x-stream filter top. The cowl on the Goodmark is some what restrictive but still provides enough air especially with the x-stream filter almost sealing the cowl by siting in the cowl hole/opening and sucking "cool/cold" air, you can hear it. Sounds bad a--. I use these photos allot but I'm going to post them again.

Re: opinions? i cant decide between my 2 hoods
My thoughts are use the cowl hood, and put the black rims back on it, will look sick, the other hood imo does not work well unless you get aftermarket flashier wheels, that hood just makes it look too modern, and without modern looking wheels wouldn't do it for me.
It doesn't look bad, I just think the cowl looks better especially with either of those sets of rims.

Re: opinions? i cant decide between my 2 hoods
the black cragar 342s stupidly i sold em, tryna get another set, so looks lik the cowl is staying but yall gona laugh, under that 2" cowl i got a 3.1, sucks, i traded my 85 z28 to get THIS one back, i had it first, but i needed the MPGs and its in alot better condition so ill work with teh 3.1 for now, plans are a built 3.4

I agree with the others on the cowl hood. I plan on getting myself a cowl hood as well down the road.

Stick with the 91 hood looks much better. I think it matchs with lines and flow of the body better than the others.
Re: opinions? i cant decide between my 2 hoods
cowl still wining 11-4, i agree with ^ it flows really good but i think with the cowl painted it will look great, posibly racing stripes?
im tryna imagine the 91 z hood color match painted to the camaro, i just cant c it looking right in that blue yet it looks good in the black

Re: opinions? i cant decide between my 2 hoods
I like the cowl. Instead of a built 3.4, why not go with a built 3.8 with a turbo? That would definately back up the performance end for having the look. Oh yeah, go with the rally stripes too, that would look good.
Re: opinions? i cant decide between my 2 hoods
only reason for a 3.4 is budget build, 3.4 goes right in, dont even need a diff ecm till i start working it and stuff, itl run off a 3.1 computer and harness I THINK, i would love a 3.8 n turbo, its a 60* v6 also right? ik teh 4.3 is the same as a sbc... same layout as a 350 with 2 cyls hacked off lol

Re: opinions? i cant decide between my 2 hoods
Still, couldn't be too hard. Go find some motor mounts for a 305 to put in and then find a 3.8 to rebuild and there ya go. Junkyard should be cheap for both. I had a 3.8L in my cutlass back in HS...it's gone now. Have a cutlass with a 305/7 sittin back home but nothing in work for it yet. But if I was to go v6, I would go 3.8 just cuz its same engine as the grand nationals and you could get same parts/results. Just thoughts.

Stock RS hood or Z28 hood. I like the original hoods on these cars the best. All of the other ones look stupid.

I don't know if it's a 60* v6 or not but like I said, find some mounts or do some research and swap it in. Better yet, find a wrecked grand national! HA!

I like the blisters myself... How much you want for the blisters?
I say go with a 3.8 supercharged. Can be sourced easily from a late 90's bonneville or buick regal, etc.
