Headlight problems

I have an 89 RS and my headlights don't stay on. They will stay on for a little while then they'll start flickering. It usually takes a while of turning them on and off before they will stay on without flickering. If I turn the hi beams on then they start flickering immediately and most times the lights cut out completely. Any suggestions what could be causing this?

Re: Headlight problems

Sounds like a bad ground / bad battery cables, etc...
When you're asking for more power, it's cutting out sooner.... bad connection somewhere...

Also try a free alternator and/or battery test at any local autoparts store. My lights flickered, and turned out to be my alternator overcharging.
