Hood shock nub/clip question.

The little nub that is supposed to hold the clip for the hood shocks on my car was so worn down that the hood shocks kept popping off when trying to close the hood. I had to remove both hood shocks as it would not close correctly.

I went to the junkyard and scored new hood hinges, I am wondering if I can simply transfer the small nubs over, rather than removing the hood and replacing the entire hinge. Thanks to anyone who can help me out here.

Re: Hood shock nub/clip question.

I don't think so,they are stamped into the hinge.
If you look on the back you'll see they can't be unbolted.

I wonder what caused yours to wear down like that?
