1991 z28 hood

i just bought a 1991 z28 305 tpi and the guy i bought the car from put an older hood on the car to replace the 6 inch cowl induction that was on the car when he got it. the hood on the car now is the wrong color but it is from an older iroc, it has the black insert fins in the middle. i was wondering if there was any way to take the black things out and put in the correct metal inserts or do i need to get a different hood? thanks

Re: 1991 z28 hood

The black plastic louvers are just held on with nuts from the underside of the hood. You'll have to take off the insulation pad to get to the nuts, and you can put the hood blisters on in their place.

Yep, same hood. The blisters can be hard/expensive to find, as are the louvers. Make sure you dont remove the louvers til you have the blisters in-hand.
