T-top interchangability?

Are the t-tops on the Firebirds and the Camaros the same? I found this 1990 Firebird Formula at the yard that had a set of t-tops inside it and I would like to grab them before someone else comes along and decides to smash them. There are like 7 Camaros and birds there but this is the only one with t-tops.

So, would these fit on my 87 Iroc?

Here is the car.

Re: T-top interchangability?

Hey I just picked up a 1988 firebird and could use some parts from that car I was wondering how the drivers side door looked in person it looks pretty good from the picture is there any rust on it and does it matter if its a power window or crank I realize that if its a crank window it will have the crank handle on the door but are there any other differences? Also what kind of condition are the seats in and the taillights? Also do you have any idea what all that might cost? I don't mean to steal your thread but would appreciate it if you might be able to check into for me thanks

I will definatly make a shopping list for you the next time I head out there (should be tomorrow, I might need new rotors for my dd becasue it turns out that the rear brake pads were missing!).

The place is called U-Pull-It and it is right behind Horsemans Park and the address is, 5900 South 60th Street. It's right between 60th and Q and 60th and Harrison. There is another place back there called U-Wrench-it, but I have never been back there becasue you have to be 18.

That would be awesome just whenever you get time I'm in no big hurry as I'm 4 hours away and more concerned about the motor right now then anything but if I can pick some stuff up for a decent price ill go ahead and get it also could use a drivers side headlight and fender if you could find it all in maui blue that ******* sweet lol I know the chances of that are slim to none. Btw that sucks about the brake pads who would go through the work of taking them off just to leave them off? I guess they could have gotten so bad they just disintegrated to nothing hopefully you still have front brakes or do you just flintstone it? Lol once again thanks

There was a Maui Blue car there! I just cant remember if it was a Camaro or a Firebird but the paint was sort of faded. Depending on the weather I will go tomorrow, but so far it looks like I might have to go on Thursday instead.

With the brake pads I think that it could be becasue when my sister drove it she would always slam on the brakes at the last second but it could just be that they disenegrated (I think there is a receipt in the car from when they were last done). Luckily, I still had front brakes but the thing is the car would never grind, shudder, or pull to one side during light braking or heavy braking.

Don't forget to post on here on like Wednesday or Thursday to remind me because even though I am only 17 I just don't have the best short term memory. lol

I hope its a bird maybe I can grab the hood off it too and my car will be all one color it has a flat black hood on it now the person that had it before the guy I got it from hit a deer with it and ripped off the headlight and obviosly messed up the hood he replaced the hood with a black one but left the headlight alone and the guy I got it from messed up the door and fender from pulling it backwards with the door open and caught a post and on top of that he did nothing but rod the p*** out of it so the motor now has a slight knock wanna build a 383 stroker for it and hopefully keep the tpi but we will see how that goes.. I will definatley bump this thread tomorrow or thursday

Re: T-top interchangability?

It's a Maui Blue Firebird and it's still there and It has all the headlights and I think the hood was perfect along with the tail lights. I dont remember how the seats looked but I might head back there with my friend who has a camera phone and take some pics for ya. There is also a complete 84 Z28 there if anyone wants anything (almost complete, I took the center console lid).

Re: T-top interchangability?

That's awesome man. Thanks for checking it out for me. Looks like I may have to make a trip down there sometime. Hopefully it has a good fender and door to. Any idea on what they might charge for it all?

The fender was ok (had a small dent by the door behind the part thats supposed to prevent dents) and the door had a rust spot by the handle. Drivers side headlight and hood were excellent. The seats were gray and had tears and half the back seat was missing. Tail lights were good except one had a small crack in it. I don't know about pricing but I would guess that for all of it excluding the seats and door might be around $150.
