I'm getting ready to paint my '89 Iroc. Here is the color:

summitracing blue sky metallic.

I want to do something with the hood other than leave it one solid color. I was thinking of doing kind of like a mach 1 strip (in black) in the area below the scoops, or just a strip down the side of the scoop like you see on SS's (in either balck or white), or doing racing strips just on the top of the scoops (in black). What are your guys thoughts or i'm open to any other options. And the car is going to 17" chrome slp zr1's if that makes a diff. Here is a pic of the hood as well.


any pics or photo shops would help full im not very good at that stuff.

I would do 2 Black strips.....That is if in front of your head lights are staying black?????..... I would do a fade from blue to black going in to the openings of the scoops......then on top of the scoops I would do black and go over the top of the car...... to the back with it.....

If the scoops are just show put some lights in them....

I like the IROC hoods on IROCs. I have tried several different scoops but for some reason they just look right to me.
