They were "kind" enough to align the hood and fenders, but the hood is way over to the passenger side and is rubbing the fender where it meets the bumper cover. I know the basic way to move fenders, hood, and cover etc. But anyone know of an easy way to move the front of the fender out? There's not much room to go side to side up front there. Thanks.

Looks good. I like the color. Why the stock hood though when everything else is Z/28?

Basically cost and availability. My Z28 hood was rusted out and repop hoods were over $400. I didn't like the fake louvre stickers and I like this clean look better

what did the paint job cost?

$2046 total. $500 of that was a new quarter panel and labor for installing it

If that's a car cover in the back seat don't use it on new paint,at least that's my advice. Nothing on it except mild soap and water until the paint cures.I bought a product called "The Absorber" from Kragens Auto and it works great on removing water/drying the car with out applying any pressure, just very lightly over the car.

Thanks ronumcmma. It's a weekend car and since the nice weekends are over here in Wisconsin, its gonna sit like that through the winter in the garage. I probably won't cover it for a couple of months. It is crazy every time I walk into the garage, it reeks of paint.

A couple of months is the least to cover it. The colder it is the longer it takes to cure and even though the cover may breath its still not allowing it to breath as well. Run a heater of some sort in the garage every once in a while,and congratulations on the new paint.

It's still curing/outgassing, that's why you don't want to cover it or get anything on it as Ron mentioned.

As for the fender alignment, make sure that it's not the hood at fault first. If you're happy with the hood loosen the bolts on top of the fender and move it out.

That looks great, I love the blue and silver color scheme on third gens. I really like the early Z28s too.
