Only leave them off if your car never leaves the garage, or you don't mind dents in your door

Can also change your parking style and avoid dents

Park way out in the empty lot vs parking right next to the door

They do look sweet without them, but 58mark is right, they will get dented to shizz if it's a DD.

Less is more.

I like mine without it. My car also doesn't see parking lots.

Re: WITH or WITHOUT side body molding??????????

Depends, I really want to keep mine looking completely stock, so it looks right with the molding on. However, if you're wanting a cosmetic upgrade (and don't mind that dent risk) dropping the moldings makes the car look way clean and less dated. I think the doors look really sharp without them.

Re: WITH or WITHOUT side body molding??????????

I think they look plain... I like how the moldings break up the top and bottom of the side panels... almost like a 3D racing stripe

Re: WITH or WITHOUT side body molding??????????

@Mike717
Thanks! She's a work in progress, had to do a few things to get her running smoothly again. Need to replace the EGR and am saving up for paint as the clear is chipping pretty bad now.

I know exactly what you mean with the molding. I've seen it work really well without it but it's usually only when the car has been pretty removed from it's stock appearances (decals and badges removed) like SpikeZ's car ( don't remember his exact name on here but people will know who I mean). If you're keeping things like the Iroc decal and stock badging, though, it does look odd without it in place.

Re: WITH or WITHOUT side body molding??????????

If you decide to sell them....I'm interested. I'm so frustrated with my door dings from people who NEED to park next to me in an empty parking lot.

that sounds good, but most parking lots are not the size of wal mart. There are a bunch of lots that you are glad to find A spot at all, and you take it.

It's nothing to do with being lazy, it's a matter of I want to DRIVE my car, everyday. Not be afraid to take it out of the garage.

That being said, even with the side moldings, I find myself parking father away in the lot when possible. Not every door (rear doors on smaller 4 door cars) have doors that line up with the moldings, so they are of no help.

look at these things.... death machines for a paint job...

Re: WITH or WITHOUT side body molding??????????

Well i think it would look better with them on, especially since im going with more of a original look, an it benefits in the long run when it comes to dents and dings.....just wondering why so meny of them around here, southern California los Angeles, orange county dont have them, is it purely cosmetic or did they fall off???????????
