Hinge Pins
hey all, I have a 92 RS and my doors are hanging low. I see that the lower hinges have replaceable pins and bushings but the top hinge looks different, they don't look like they can be rebuilt. how do I fix them, is there something I'm missing?

Re: Hinge Pins
this is the kit I have. The upper hinge rebuild kit is somewhat more complicated to install than the lower, but not too bad.

Re: Hinge Pins
streetpro, if worn hinges are the cause for your sagging door then that kit should make them right with little to no adjustment to the door.

Re: Hinge Pins
I installed the hinge kits and the doors close like new.....I would check the area around the hinges where they are welded to the door for rust just to be safe.....I picked out some seam sealer in this area and found rust

Re: Hinge Pins
I need to do the same but is the hinge pin replacement enough? Does the striker bolt also need to be replaced if it's worn? Do the hinges provide all/most of the support or does the striker also help support the door?

Re: Hinge Pins
Hinges do most all of the support. Striker should be replaced if worn, can cause door to rattle when shut or be hard to shut.
