Removing badges from side lower ground effects?

Hi,

I have a 1988 IROC and am just about to repaint it.

I want to remove the two "IROC" badges that are on the side ground effects, but cannot see how this is done.

On the back of the ground effects there are two long bolts, but it looks like these are used to fasten the ground effects to the body, not the badges to the ground effects.

What is the best way to remove these badges without destroying them?

Are they just stuck on?

yep just stuck on... carefully lever off with a wide blade type tool, they are just snug into 2 locating holes. hope that helps....thats how mine were anyway.

There are a few third gens in Australia and a couple of clubs.

It's tough to get parts here in Australia, must be really tough in NZ.

Hey Peter, actually I think there are alot more American cars here than in Australia, and plenty of parts available too. let me know if you have any issues I can do a bit of a check around for you.
