crazy gfx question

Hey guys so i got kinda a stupid question but i feel its worth asking. So i got a 90 camaro rs and the stock spoiler is off right now cause the car was painted and i just havent got around to puttin it back on. But my car has had a shaking problem after about 68mph and ive replaced a few things and think the rear needs alligned, but my question is how functional is the stock spoiler and would having it on and any downforce it creates help supress somewhat the shaking? Just curious thanks.

Re: crazy gfx question

The stock Camaro spoiler won't provide much downforce at all. It will not suppress the shaking.

Take a look under the car, as soon as possible. It should not be shaking.

I dont mean hide the shaking, im gettin the rear end aligned here soon and ive had it on a lift a couple times and aint seen no problems, i was just curios if chevy put it on there to be somewhat functional and if not having it on could cause some shaking at higher speeds

Re: crazy gfx question

Nope.
Make sure all your LCA, PHB and TA bolts are tight. As well as your wheels being balanced and lug nuts tight.

Re: crazy gfx question

If all of that doesn't fix your shaking, have your drive shaft balanced and/or replace the TCC solenoid if you think its coming from the tranny (unplug the electronics on the drivers side and see if that makes it stop)
