Re: Hood Support Question

yeah i replaced the left and right side struts and the hood still falls down i am getting sick of it, i bought steel struts not fiberglass since my hood is steel, and you think for $80 the supports would not fall down...

Re: Hood Support Question

Are you sure you're getting the right struts?

I replaced mine a couple months ago with some from O'riley's and they've seem to be holding up OK. Plus they have a lifetime warranty if they do fail.

Re: Hood Support Question

I am positive they are the right struts it says right on the package (For steel hoods only) and I can tell my hood is steel just by knock on it haha.

Re: Hood Support Question

Where did you get them from? do you have a part number? (just asking because I went through this a while back just to find out that they were giving me the wrong ones). But if you are adamant about converting to hinge only im sure you could take a few measurements and then hit up a junkyard and find something that will work for you.
