Export headlight covers

I have a new set of NOS GM export headlight covers that I found last year and am planning to put on my '89 Iroc.

The problem I have is that they didn't come with the hardware to install them.

Does anyone have close-up pics of them or know what type of hardware I would need to install them?

Any info would help alot! Thanks.

Re: Export headlight covers

What do you have? There should be a slotted clip that gets screwed to the headlight frame. The tab on the headlight covers slides into that slot and then a plastic clip, like the ones that hold the front inner wheel liner, lock it in. The plastic stubs at the bottom of the lens' go into a hole that gets drilled in the headlight opening. You push the covers into the hole first, then into the slot at the top to lock them in place.

Remember, you have to drill the urethane. Are you sure you want to do that?

Re: Export headlight covers

Scott, Thank you for the info! The part #'s on them is GM 16500595 CR L1 J and GM 16500595 CR R1 J.

Alot of things on my '89 Iroc have been replaced or swapped by PO. So , I'm not afraid to drill the urethrane unless there's another reason not to.

I was hoping to get a photo of one so that I may get an idea of what I'm looking for, better yet a lead as to where I might find the clips, LOL.

If you would like I can post pics later today.

Thanks Again, Steve

Re: Export headlight covers

can anyone tell me where I can get a set of nos covers. They came stock on my 85 and some kids stole them like they are gts covers. There should be three flat tabs on the top and three peg pins on bottom. If anyone knows where a good set maybe even new that are not too expensive then please let me know
