front bumper support cracked?

My dad backed into my car! My question is how important structurally is the middle piece of the fiberglass bumper? It is the bar behind the middle piece in the grille. It is cracked on top and bottom. A new grille is no big thing to find, but I dont want to have to replace that whole front piece. Should I look for a new clip or just replace the grille and not worry about it?

in my experience, when that part breaks, the bumpercover will start to sag and create a gap right at the hood. its a pain in the azz, but id replace it or try to fix it somehow. hopefully dad will pay. lol best of luck.

the headlight mounting panel is what you are describing.you should find a original piece,i reccomend hawks for that part.i just replaced that part on a customers car.he bought one of those aftermarket plastic ones, and altho its dimensionally correct, its made of thinner plastic instead of the correct fiberglass. the piece is a structurally important one .and the aftermarket piece just isnt up to standards.do not buy a aftermarket one unless you really dont care to have your car "right"

it is the middle plastic part that the grille partially bolts to or where you would put a license plate. I live in southern indiana does anyone know any good junkyards to check here or in louisville?
