4" cowl hood questions

Axle/Gears: 3.08 (3.42 in dec.)
4" cowl hood questions

I have a 91 camaro with a 4" cowl hood (fiberglass), I went to use the stock hood bolts, as I did on the same kind of hood on my 92 camaro, only issue is the stock bolts are too small. Anyone else have this prob? My bolts are 6mm but I can slide it in and out with no prob, 7mm screws in but it's a flat bolt, not tapered like the hood bolts are supposed to be. If anyone has had this issue, what bolts did you use and where could I find them, thanks. Btw: this is my hood:
