91/92 z28 blister question

Does anyone know if the black inserts on the 91/92 z28 hood blisters can come out if so what are they made of. I would think plastic but could be wrong.

Aluminum, they are double sided taped in and will be destroyed when removed. At this time they are irreplacable.

Hold everything.. is the guy talking about the "blisters" on the hoods of our 91-92 Z28's..??? If so, they are made out of plastics and the "inserts", the "honeycomb" sections are made out of rubber.. and are adhesived in. I'm holding a pair of blisters in my hand as I type this.. when i say plastic, I actually mean fiiberglass.. The have screw tabs and go in the holes in the hood and are screwed in place with the nuts from the inside of the hood. They are definitely not made out of aluminum. Yes, these are for sale, they are painted satin black and the honeycomb inserts are adhesived in place with Permatex ... stone

My inserts on my hood blisters are definitely aluminum. The black paint is like 90% peeled from them and they are aluminum for sure.

Yes, 91-92 hood blisters. The inserts (black) are aluminum, held in with double sided tape. The blister (body color) is SMC, held in by posts (steel, 6 per blister) which are secured with self cutting nuts (speed nuts).
