Questions about 1991-1992 Formula,Trans am and GTA wrap around spoiller
I am curious as to what material the special wrap around spoilers used on Formulas,Trans Am's and GTA's were made of in 1991-1992.
Were they fiberglass, plastic or rubber? I know the earlier style wrap arounds were made from rubber which had a tendency to crack and warp over time, not to mention the extra weight they added to the car.
I would assume the mounting holes would be different too for this type of spoiler.

The older ones are like a urathane or endura type material.
This is the glue needed to fix the 91-2 spoiler if you crack or break it.
It also requires a special gun and mixing tips.
Yes the bolt holes are different, great thinking GM.
The 91-2 spoilers are swapped out by everyone for the older type if your wanting to use the car for topend speeds. The older one makes the car waaaaay more stabile at speed than the 91-2.
