How do you get the friggen ground effects off???

I'm trying to touch up a couple of rust spots that extend under my ground effects on the drivers side, and I can't get the rocker-panel extensions off!! I took out all the bolts on the underside, as well as all the bolts inside the door sill.

Are there clips I'm missing?? How do I get these off? Thanks for any help you can give!!

Jason,

There are two screws underneath the "RS" emblem and one nut on the rear of the rocker that's keeping you from removing them.

The best way to remove the emblem is to jack the car up and look up towards the emblem from the space between the rocker and the body. It's not easy but you should see two black plastic studs. These hold the emblem in place. With a long screwdriver, slowly push on the studs. Once you've pushed them out about 1/8-inch, you should be able to grab the emblem and pull it out. If you don't do it this way and try to pry the emblem out from the front side, you will chip the paint on the rocker. The two self-threading screws are under the emblem.

The nut that holds the rocker on the rear is accessed by removing the rear plastic interior armrest piece. There will be a piece of rubber about 4" x 4" glued to the body. Remove it and you should see an 11-mm self-threading nut. Remove it and the rocker should pull off the car.
