nasty carpets!

alright, my carpets are disgusting! what is the best way to clean them out, I'm planning on replacing them someday, but I'm in school now, so I can't really do it here. These carpets have to last me a couple more years, so what should I use to get them super clean? Some of the stuff on them is stuff like grease and just crunched in dirt.

thanks,
-=-Mike

The best way I found to get my carpet really clean was to just take it out of the car completely and scrub it down really well with carpet cleaning stuff. It also gave me the opportunity to clean the rest of the interior too. As an added bonus I found more than $10 worth of change under the console.

Or if that's goin too far for ya, I found that a Bissel works pretty good, I couldn't believe how much crap was in my carpet when I last used one. You might check and see if anywhere around you rents carpet cleaning units, make sure to get one with the hose attachment of course.
