I have an '88 convertible, and a problem with the dash/defroster panel. I have a wired opening below the lighter, but it's not the same size as the lighter. And it's not like ASC forgot to take out the rear window defroster b/c the shape isn't the same. I have a feeling the previous owner had the panel modified to accomodate a car phone hookup, but wanted to see if anyone has seen a similar dash panel in any convertible before assuming that is the case.

I too have a 1988 Convertible SC, and you have to be one of the only other 88 Convertibles I have seen. Send me an Email sometime and we can chat about resto. Do you have an IROC or an SC? Let me know as there were only 1869 of these SC's I am looking for any and all others.

I have an IROC, not an SC. And if you need any stock interior parts for your restoration, I recommend TA Creations. Don't have the website in front of me, but do a search and you'll get it.

 

with the exception of the rear passenger panels all the interor trim should be the same as any other camaro, especially dash wise. You should be able to find that trim piece in the junkyard somewhere.......
