It shouldn't be too hard to do. I imagine all you would have to do is remove the headliner, get some interior adhesive spray from an autoparts store, spray it on the headliner itself and restretch the fabric tightly and make it smooth. You could go a step further and replace the fabric with some from a fabric store. My friend found some that was an exact match and even had the foam backing. Hope this helps, Good luck!

You can't reuse the sagging fabric. The ashesive will soak right through it and look really bad. If the car isn't a t-top car, recovering the headliner is a no-brainer and can be done for virtually no cash. Jo-Ann Fabrics sells the headliner material for $10 a yard, and a can of 3M spray adhesive is like $7. Just brush the old foamy gunk off the headliner, spray the backside of the fabric and the headliner, wait 5 minutes, then start laying it down inch by inch. If you have t-tops, I would suggest you use something like tweed or another fabric that has some flex/give to it.

If you want a good job, get adhesive. If its a mickey mouse job, staple it
