I'd like to have some ttop shades for my car. I hate it when I'm driving at midday and the sun is right in my face. Do they just slide in there or what?

I have the shades for my '90 Formula and there is no velcro. They just slide in and fit arounf the outside edge. They fit pretty tight so it's best to put them in when you put the T-tops in. Most of the time I leave mine out because they infringe on headroom. My liner is starting to sag though. So if someone were to produce them in quantity to cut the price down I'd be interested.
I always thought it would be nice to have a retractable style shade for the T's. Something that would mount at the rear above your head and be able to be pulled out and hooked into place at the front. Also be removable when necessary. (sort of like a mini of the cargo area cover)
I have the regular inserts and they're a pain in the *** if you ask me. I have to actually lift my tops off to insert them which sucks when you only need them part of the day.
Just my $.02

I'd buy a set of shades. I've wanted them for a while. I almost just made some out of posterboard.. heh. Also been tempted to just get another set of T's and paint the inside of one set black.
I like having the sun in the car when its cold out.. but man it sucks when its burning hot outside!

I think I'm going to start searching for a set of pull out shades like they use on side windows. Maybe find a way to set them up as retractable shades.
I'll let you know how the search goes.

I have factory sun shades and they are not that compicated. If you a sheet of thin abs plastic or something thin and simi rigid, some headliner matterial and some spray glue. you could make them in about an hour or less. They are mostly held in place by the lip of the headliner around the t-tops and the t-top frame. However the factory did send velcro tabs to attach them to the t-top. just be sure that when you cut them out that the edge doesn't show when installed. ( tacky )
